Housing Choice Voucher Income, Allowances & Rent Calculation Training
Quadel’s two-day course on HCV Income, Allowances, and Rent Calculation is a mix of lecture, PowerPoint presentation, discussion, practice exercises, and case studies to engage participants.
The course covers annual income inclusions and exclusions, allowances and deductions, adjusted income, discussion of best-practice interviewing techniques, sample interview questions, verification requirements, rent calculation, choice of rent, and utility allowances.
Participants receive Quadel’s HCV Income, Allowances & Rent Calculation course book. All of Quadel’s course books are designed to serve as “plain English” reference manuals to assist program staff in their daily functions more efficiently after attending the course.
Quadel offers an optional examination that evaluates participant proficiency in accurate determination of income and rent calculations. The examination is administered in the afternoon of day-two, following a morning review session. It is a 1.5-hour, open-book examination consisting of multiple choice questions and short exercises. Participants who pass receive a formal certificate suitable for framing attesting to their proficiency in HCV income, allowances, and rent calculation rules.
