Asset Management Course
Quadel’s two-day Asset Management course provides hands-on exploration of the concepts and skills necessary for successful implementation of HUD requirements. Participants gain an overview of the Final Rule on the Public Housing Operating Fund Program and its organizational and staffing implications and learn how to bring these concepts down to the site level. The course combines use of classroom lecture, PowerPoint presentations, case studies, course book instruction, and group exercises to ensure a clear understanding of the material. As an example, participants in a group exercise develop a twelve-month project-specific budget and review. Participants discuss a monthly management report and a budget versus actual variance report for a hypothetical public housing property.
Quadel offers a certification examination as an optional third day of the workshop. The four-hour examination includes multiple choice and true/false questions as well as mini-exercises. Participants who pass receive a formal certificate suitable for framing attesting to their proficiency in asset management rules.
